Across the whole of Merseyside we have a fixed rate for wasps’ nests of just £35.00 and even though we work Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, we don’t increase the charge – it’s still £35.00.
We work seven days per week from April to November including all statutory holidays. Our area of operation comprises the whole of Merseyside.
In Liverpool we now have got an interesting and very aggressive bumble bee, the Tree Bumblebee (Bombus hypnorum). While we try not to harm bees, this type is dangerous when nesting low down in a garden or on the structure of your building. We do not usually want to harm bees but this bee is unsafe when nested in the area of persons, especially little children and pets. It is an easy bee to identify with its orange thorax and white posterior and if you suspect that you might have a nest of these bees we recommend ringing us straightaway. Do not get too close! We do all we can to support bees when ever possible and we our selves now own a hive of honeybees and are now able to supply a small amount of local honey. Take a look at our Harrier Honey page for complete details.

Wasps
Our charge for destroying wasps’ nests is preset at £35 and we will never ask you for more unless access apparatus such as scaffolding or a cherry-picker is required to access the nest. Please note that working at height laws are very rigorous these days so please tell us if the nest is any higher than the guttering of a typical domestic home.
The only exception is in the case of a late season wasps’ nest, and this may need added work to make things safe and secure for you. Please click the link for complete details.
We try and cope with wasps’ nests from the out side of the building whenever practical and we prefer to use long lances in the place of ladders, it’s much safer for all concerned.
Also, and more importantly do NOT attempt to close or block the nest entrance with mastic or mortar etc., you’ll drive the wasps into the house and when we arrive we need the entrance to be open so as to perform the treatment.
If you call us out to a nest where you have sealed the entrance we will charge you extra for the additional time it takes us to deal with the nest. On occasions when an entrance has been sealed or where you have attempted to deal with the nest yourself we reserve the right to charge you a call out fee without carrying out the treatment or to attempt the work with no guarantee given.
You will be provided with the soonest possible appointment, frequently same-day and our operative will kill the wasps’ nest by injecting a tiny measure of pesticide into the spot where the wasps are coming and going. The wasps will carry this wasp killer powder into the nest on their bodies and the whole nest will be spent within the hour.
Destroying A Wasps Nest
Providing we can reach the wasps’ nest from the outside of the building you do not even have to wait in. Our specialist wasp control website has a prepayment option for you to buy by paypal or credit card, sorry we can accept credit cards over the internet or on-site but not over the telephone. Please call us to let us know you’ve prepaid and to tell us exactly where the nest is. Also please don’t forget to unlock any gates etc that we may need to pass through and move any dustbins etc which might be in the way.
If there are any issues which may be pertinent such as the presence of bats etc then please do not wait until we arrive on site to tell us about them, we will not carry out a treatment if it’s unsafe but we will ask you for a call-out fee.
Bed bugs
Bed Bugs are prevalent in the Liverpool Pest Control area of operations.
There is a large amount of misunderstanding between bed bugs and dust mites. Every bed has little, invisible to the unaided eye dust mites, bed bugs are altogether a separate thing.
Bed bugs
Bed bugs are easily noticed and look like an apple pip, particularly when completely developed and recently fed. They aren’t indications of poor hygiene, all they need to have is a blood feed every week or so – your blood!
